Family of Four Photography Session at the South Burlington Community Gardens
Earlier this month I met this sweet family of four for a session at the South Burlington Community Gardens. I love meeting families at the community gardens because it is a wonderful yet contained place for everyone to run around and explore. Capturing genuine smiles and laughter is what I always strive for at my family sessions and so it is important to me that everyone has fun during our time together. Looking back through these photos, I think we accomplished that goal!
Vermont June Weather & coordinating outfits!
We had a pretty chilly and wet spring here in Vermont and there wasn’t a lot of sun. For this session we lucked out with gorgeous June weather and the gardens made a beautiful backdrop for this wonderful family. We all happily soaked in it! The sun was shining and these siblings and their mom and dad had the best time together. And how adorable are their outfits? I love the pops of blue, especially with everyone’s gorgeous colored eyes. I often talk with families before their sessions about how to coordinate outfits in a fun way that also accentuates their unique tastes and styles and these four nailed it. And how cute are those little slip on green shoes?!
The Details:
Photographing families together is my favorite part of my work and these brothers were just so adorable with each other. We chose to meet for our session a little before 8am. This may sound early but it also can help ensure that everyone is well rested and happy for the session, which is especially helpful when photographing younger children! The early hours of the day also have beautiful light without the harsh shadows of midday sun. If you have had family session with me before, you will know that is why I will also recommend that we meet in the earlier morning or a couple of hours before sunset.
I hope you enjoy seeing a look at my time with this wonderful family and thank you for stopping by!
