Backyard Family Photos- Spring is finally here!
I love backyard family photo sessions! It’s finally starting to feel like spring in Vermont and we’ve certainly earned it. Last weekend, I met up with this beautiful family of four and their adorable new puppy. This was my fourth time photographing this happy crew, and I couldn’t believe how much these boys have grown. My own kids have major puppy fever, and this adorable Goldendoodle may have me leaning closer towards a yes. Let’s take a look at this beautiful morning family session!
The Details:
This family chose to have their session at their home. I love when families make this choice! Not only does it add a level of sentiment to the photos, but it takes the drive time away. This is especially helpful for early morning summer sessions! I’ll drive to you while you get the kids ready. Their backyard had beautiful shade near their apple trees and I had a great time meeting their chickens after we were done with photos. Mom mentioned that she picked up their outfits at Gap and the colors photographed perfectly! I love shades of blue and gray for family photos, as it works well with all the green spring in Vermont brings. These boys were full of giggles, jokes, and entertainment. As usual, I kept the session moving quickly to make sure these two busy boys were engaged and happy. Mom mentioned her plan to frame three large prints from the session in black and white, so I made sure to capture those. I love hearing plans for printing- it’s always helpful during the session to have their goals in mind.
I’m excited to share the highlights of this session. I made the “mistake” of showing the puppy pictures to my girls. The itch for a puppy in this house is high! We shall see…
Thanks for stopping by!
