The Five Things I Wish High School Seniors Wouldn’t Stress About Before Their Photo Session!
How many times in our life are we photographed all by ourselves for a whole entire photo session? Probably not many, right? I get it! Being in front of the camera, all by your lonesome can feel totally out of your comfort zone, but don't worry, I am here to help!
Senior photos are more than just getting a photo for your school yearbook or graduation announcement. They are also a chance for you (and your family!) to capture this fleeting stage of life and most importantly, capturing YOU! Have some worries about how it will all go? You are not alone...and it's MY job to make it as comfortable (and fun!) as possible.
But what about my skin?
No one has perfect skin...even if it looks that way! I remember being a teenager myself and even at my age, a breakout can happen at the most inopportune times! Fortunately, that's what being a boutique photographer is all about. All of your final images will be carefully edited to showcase you, and this includes color adjustments, blemish removal, etc. Never worry about trying to cover up a skin irritation because they are super easy to remove in my post processing!
How will I know how to pose?
No worries, you don't have to know anything about posing because I will help you along, every step of the way. Part of my job is to pose you so that you feel not only comfortable but also confident!
Can I change my clothes?
Yes!! I actually recommend bringing 2-3 outfit choices and I have a pop up "changing tent" so you can change wherever we are in total privacy! Bringing a couple outfits is a fun way to mix things up and really show who you are. I love being able to showcase your style and accessories are also a great way to do this!
But won't it just feel totally awkward?
One of the best compliments I can receive is that a senior left their session feeling like the process was not only painless but also enjoyable! This is my goal for your session too...
How will I feel like "me?"
Have an instrument you play, a dog you love, a jersey you wear? Please bring it! I love capturing my seniors for who THEY are, and bringing the things that are a part of you, help me do this! The length of my senior sessions, allow for me to capture the more traditional photos you may "need" and also extra time to include more unique shots you will treasure forever!
Do you have any other questions? Feel free to reach out, I would love to help!
